I found an battery powered Oldsmobile for sale. I was very interested in electric vehicles. It is powered by two 12 volt batteries and has an electric motor from a fork lift.

 It took two or three months to arrange transportation. I got the Olds in Feb 2017.Below, A friend and I are unloading it from the truck .

 The chassis and wiring diagram looks like this:

  I didn't like sitting in the back of the truck. I split the body and moved it back 10 inches.

I was not crazy about the ginger bread on the outside of the truck, eventually I took the gingerbread off 

I wanted to show that the truck was electric so I put a Columbia Electric Vehicle decal on it

I took it to a Antique Power show in July and made the local paper.

I had a friend who was working on a Horseless Carriage Replica. He spent several years working on a wood body. He called and said he lost interest and decided to sell the body. I liked the runabout body better than the truck body.

 

I removed the truck body and replaced it with the runabout body.

I had the runabout body painted.
